This is the tutorial of Decision support tool for retrofitting

This tool enables the end-user to obtain different retrofitting solutions and run the simulation for comparison. Design professionals without expertise in energy simulation with Energy Plus will able to simulate the model and thus obtain the optimal design for the selected building.

This is the tutorial for the Interoperability Suite

There is the possibility of using different file formats, according to the kind of element we want to add to the catalogue. Among such variety of files, the most common are the following:

- Industry Foundation Classes (.IFC)

- Revit Project File (.RVT)

- gbXML (.gbXML)

- IDF (.IDF)

This suite will be very useful considering the multitude of formats and software that currently exist. A tool will report all errors found and all entities that have not been able to transform.

This is the tutorial for the Target setting tool and energy matching tool.

The target setting tool is designed for the need identification phase, within the framework of KPI (key performance indicator), the end user can select the wanted, weight the priority of each indicator and set the target values. With these target values, a feasibility study can be performed.

The energy matching tool takes the simulation input and targets set, analyses the matching of building performance with the indicators. To perform the neighbourghhood analysis, several new indicator like On-site Energy Ratio (OER), Annual Mismatch Ratio (AMR) etc. were developed.

This tutorial is about the 3D online Gaming environment developed in Design4Energy Project.

This 3D online Gaming environment is a web based application, it provides an interactive workspace to enable users explore various ‘what-if scenarios’ individually as well as collectively in a ‘team space’ and investigate the impact of their decisions and choices on cost and energy performance. As a D4E training tool, this gaming will enable project’s architects and other SMEs to extend their knowledge about designing better energy efficient buildings taking energy and cost into consideration from an early design phase.
